The verdict is still out. Lucy. Sky. Diamonds. Those are some pretty incriminating initials. And for the record, they've certainly caused quite the controversy. People have often speculated that this song was inspired by an acid trip, but the Beatles always maintained that the title was merely a coincidence and the true inspiration comes from a painting that John Lennon's son Julian drew of his classmate, Lucy, who he appropriately called "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." Still we can only speculate.
